Provocation

What does passing through make possible to notice, and impossible to know?

Field log

Write one observation and one refusal: what you saw, and what you will not turn into a claim.

Route scaffolds: images and sound seeds↓

These are route scaffolds, not confirmed stops. Each point holds a Wikimedia image slot, a Freesound query and a blog prompt so the road can replace the estimate with lived material.

Inland turn

INLAND TURNSahel, repair, movement, uncertaintyTransit is not the same as comprehension

Where the coast route becomes the Sahel route

Tambacounda is eastern Senegal's main junction, the pivot where the route turns away from the Atlantic and inland toward the Malian border. It is a place of transit economies: rail, road, freight and long-distance buses.

What success looks like

A good fragment resists explaining a region from a junction. It records the infrastructure of transit and admits the limits of passing through.

For whom?

Who could challenge a note made from a junction, and what would they say we missed?

By whom?

Write one sentence that keeps uncertainty visible.

“Transit is evidence of movement, not of comprehension.”
